Hojicha is roasted green tea. The tea leaves are grown in full sun until being harvested in Spring. The whole leaves are then carefully steamed, rolled, dried, and roasted to create this naturally sweet and aromatic tea. The roasting process removes any bitterness and most of the caffeine, making it the perfect drink for later of the day.
Brewing method:
Steep 5 grams of tea leaves in 350 ml (12oz) of 80°C (175°F) filtered water for 2 - 3 minutes. Please feel free to adjust the amount of tea leaves, water quantity or temperature, and steeping time to find your favorite taste.
