Spring Matcha Collection 2024

It has been our little tradition to bring back Spring Matcha every Spring since our cafe opened back in 2020. Spring is such a meaningful season worth of celebrating - a beginning of new seasonality, new life cycle for many plants & animals, and the weather is getting warm here in Vancouver after months of raining. At Whisk, everyone is so excited for Spring. 

What is Spring Matcha if you ask? Spring Matcha is a specialty blend of matcha powder highlighting flavor profiles of floral, fresh grass and wet earth. Since matcha has different cultivars and each cultivar has subtle differences in taste, blend masters at Japanese tea companies would pick the cultivars that represent the notes of Spring.

Every year we'd order a variety of Spring matcha blends from a few matcha producers to our HQ and pick our favourite ones as our final features. Marukyu Koyamaen's Spring Matcha has been a stable feature, and new to the lineup we have Harumoe no Mukashi as our 2nd feature. Here's a glance of our collection this year:
