Berry Merry Matcha Sangria

As we head into the busy Holiday Season, festive (and sometimes impromptu) gatherings with friends, colleagues and family are all but guaranteed.  Wow the crowd (expected or not) with this guaranteed-to-please recipe for a classic cocktail with a Whisk Matcha twist!
1 (750 mL) bottle Merlot
3oz Brandy
1oz Simple Syrup
1oz Orange Liqueur
100g frozen Raspberries
100g frozen Blueberries
1 whole Kiwi, thinly sliced
1 tsp Whisk Premium Matcha Pinnacle Gold
2oz Warm Water
Ice (about 2-3 cups)


1.Whisk matcha and water together, set aside.

2. Blend brandy, wine, simple syrup and orange liqueur in a pitcher.

3. Add matcha mixture, raspberries, blueberries and kiwi and lightly mull the fruit to release their natural juices.

4. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours (or up to 24 hours).

5. Stir in soda or Sprite if desired and serve over ice

6. Garnish with slice of kiwi or other colourful fruit and enjoy!

Matcha Berry Mojito

Channel summertime chilling and shake up a batch of our very own matcha mojitos at your next cocktail party or festive gathering this season! 

We've given one of our favourite rum-based cocktails a decidedly emerald-hued twist by adding just a touch of our Whisk Matcha Organic Everyday Grade to the mix. 


Handful of raspberries

Add one scoop of crushed ice

1oz white rum (we used Bacardi)

1/2oz simple syrup

1/2tsp Whisk Matcha Organic Everyday Grade

1 oz ice water 


1. Muddle about 3-4 raspberries in cocktail mixer 

2. Add one scoop of crushed ice

3. Add rum, simple syrup and blended matcha

4. Shake vigorously 

5. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass

6. Top up with club soda and garnish with a few remaining raspberries

Whisk Matcha Collins

The next time it’s cocktail o’clock in your home, break out the matcha and blend it into this classic drink for a refreshing and updated twist! We definitely had fun perfecting the recipe in our own kitchen using the Whisk Organic Ceremonial Grade matcha and our gin of choice: Bombay Sapphire. Try it out yourself this holiday season!



 ½ tsp Whisk Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha

2oz water

1oz Simple Syrup

2oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice

3oz Bombay Sapphire Gin

4oz Club Soda



  1. Mix matcha powder with water
  2. Add simple syrup, lemon juice and gin
  3. Top with ice and shake vigorously until well blended
  4. Double strain using a cocktail shaker and pour into highball glass full of ice and top with Club Soda
  5. Garnish with lemon wedge and enjoy!
